Off the Grid

Dachi Papuashvili’s self-sufficient micro home

Designed by architect Dachi Papuashvili, this tiny, four-storey house is built from two overlapping shipping containers and operates entirely off-grid. Self-sufficient features include solar panels, composting toilet and rain-water catchment system. Papiashvili’s hopes to transform his energy-independent concept into a complete prototype by 2015.
